Every product at Made of Hands is knitted or crocheted by hand, one stitch at a time, by our team of women artisans from Almora in the Himalayan foothills of Uttarakhand. Because each piece is made to order and not mass-produced, we ask for a little patience before your order is on its way. We promise it's worth the wait.
Here's everything you need to know about how we ship across India.
Processing & Dispatch Time
Once you place your order, we take 2–3 working days to process, quality-check, and carefully pack your item before it is handed over to our courier partner.
Working days refer to Monday through Saturday, excluding public holidays. Orders placed on Sundays or public holidays will begin processing the next working day.
You will receive your tracking details by email once your order has been dispatched. Please ensure your email address is entered correctly at checkout.
Buying as a gift? If you need your order by a specific date, please write to us at hello@madeofhands.com before placing your order and we'll do our best to accommodate your timeline.
Delivery Timelines
Delivery times are calculated from the date of dispatch, not the date of order. Please keep this in mind when planning your purchase, especially for gifting occasions.
Delhi-NCR: 2–3 working days after dispatch
Metro cities (Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad): 4–6 working days after dispatch
Other cities and towns across India: 8–12 working days after dispatch, depending on your distance from our dispatch location in Uttarakhand
North East India (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura): All parcels are shipped via Registered India Post. Delivery may take 15–25 working days depending on your specific location and local postal conditions.
These timelines are estimates provided by our logistics partners and may occasionally vary due to high-demand seasons, local holidays, weather disruptions, or remote pin codes. We appreciate your understanding.
Shipping Charges
Free shipping on all orders above ₹999.
A flat shipping fee applies on orders below ₹999. The applicable charge will be shown at checkout before you confirm your order.
Address & Order Modifications
Your order will be shipped to the exact address you provide at checkout. Please double-check your delivery address, pin code, and phone number before placing your order — our courier partners rely on this information to reach you.
If you need to modify your delivery address, please write to us at hello@madeofhands.com within 2 hours of placing your order. We cannot guarantee address changes after this window as your order may have already been processed for dispatch.
Order Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number and a link to track your shipment via email. If you haven't received your tracking details within 4 working days of placing your order, please reach out to us and we'll look into it right away.
Failed Deliveries & RTO (Return to Origin)
If a delivery attempt fails because of an incorrect address, an unavailable recipient, or a refused delivery, the parcel may be returned to us by the courier. In such cases:

Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive the parcel, and that your phone number is reachable during the delivery window.
Damaged in Transit
If your order arrives physically damaged due to mishandling during shipping, please refer to our Return Policy for the steps to raise a claim. An unboxing video is required for all such claims.
